Granite Is All Stone Alike? Is There Only One Finish on Granite? Do All Granites Have Movement? Can Granite Harbor Bacteria, Mold, or Mildew? Can Granite be Scratched? How About Dings, Cracks, or Chips? Granite (Natural Stone) Cannot be Repaired? Stains in Granite Cannot be Removed?		Stains if wiped up after they occur will not stain your countertop. If you spill oil or an oil based product on your brand new countertops don’t cry. Granite is a natural stone and dose not like foreign objects invading it. Keep cleaning your countertops on a regular basis and with a little time the stain will disappear. The most important thing to remember is not to seal your countertop until the stain is completely removed or you will seal your stain in. “I left a cup that I had melted butter in on my new Cashmere White Granite countertops (it was left over night and half the next day). It left a grey ring where the cup had sat. I continued to clean my countertops regularly and watched the stain disappear. Within about 2 months you could not tell where the cup had been placed.” - Fowler
